The first step is to log in to the CMS so you can access the control panel. When your user account was created you will have been given a username (your e-mail address) and CMS password, which you will need to log in as a content manager or site administrator - if you do not have these, please contact your website manager or a member of the Hidden Colour team.
1. Go to your website and click on the log in link. If no log in link is visible you will have been given a direct link to the login screen.
2. Enter your username (e-mail address) and your CMS password
If you enter your password incorrectly 5 times, the system will lock you out and you will need to wait an hour before you can attempt to log in again.
3. If you want to stay logged on to the CMS on this computer, tick the Keep me logged in box.
Do NOT tick this box if you are using shared or public computer as it could allow someone else to access your CMS account.
4. Click on the Log in button and you'll be redirected to the control panel, if you are a content manager or site administrator. If you are registered as a standard user, you will be redirected to your account home screen.
Don't worry, follow these steps:
1. Go to your website and click on the log in link. If no log in link is visible you will have been given a direct link to the login screen.
2. Click on the Forgotten your password? link underneath the password box.
3. You will be taken to a page where you can reset your password - to do this enter the e-mail address you registered with in the first box and type in the 'Captcha' words in the second box.
4. Click the Submit button.
5. You will receive an e-mail shortly, with details of how to reset your password. Follow these instructions.
If you did not tick the Keep me logged in box when logging in, you will be logged out after a period of inactivity or when you close your browser window.
However, for security reasons we recommend you always log out manually after you have finished editing your website. To do this click on the log out link in the top right of the screen, or the log out link on your account home screen.
