What are page snapshots?

You can take a 'snapshot' of a page, to save the whole page layout, content and items at that particular moment in time.

At a later date you can preview that snapshot and then restore it to the current page.  This means you could have 12 different home pages for each month of the year, and you can just restore the one you need at the start of each month, without having to rebuild it again.

Preview & restore a snapshot

Once you have some saved snapshots, you can preview them to see what content they contain.

To preview, click on the preview button button next to the snapshot you want to preview, and you'll be taken to the test site version of the saved page.

To restore, click on the restore button button next to the snapshot you want to restore.  A confirmation window will pop up - click on Restore this snapshot when prompted.  The current page will now contain the restored page.  You'll overwrite the current content by doing this, so if you want to save it make sure you create a snapshot before restoring.
